The course includes working knowledge of shipboard personnel management and training. Ability to apply task and workload management with regards to planning and coordination, personnel assignment, time and resource constraints, prioritization. Knowledge and ability to apply effective resource management on allocation, assignment, and prioritization of resources, effective communications on board and ashore, assertiveness and leadership, including motivation, obtaining and maintaining situation awareness.
